Words are hard - me, a writer.

As a writer, I can use my voice and experience to share my narrative, create conversations, smash stigmas, and start movements. This is a rare quality, and I want to use it because I can change lives. I have written professionally since 2012 for HerCampus, Level21 Magazine, The EveryGirl, and RespectAbility, as well as my blog DISHability.

I’m 31, and a native Charlottean who dreams of living independently and being financially free as much as I can as a disabled individual. I graduated from The College of Charleston’s REACH Program with a certificate in Women and Gender Studies in 2016 and was involved with The Bonner Leader Program, a four-year service leadership program where I was able to travel to Cuba and Ghana.

I believe that living authentically and being true to yourself is the key to a happy and healthy life. I'm an activist, a nap - enthusiast, a wanderlust-er, a romantic, and an overall lover of all things beautiful. There's something incomparable about taking time to look at the things you don’t notice regularly. Outside my work, you can find me seeing my favorite artists live, reading, and watching tv or catching up with friends over coffee.
